About Me

How I got into Boccia
I started playing Boccia in 2010 at Heart of the Forest School not far from where I live after my mum took me along to a session to ‘keep me out of mischief’ from there I found a passion for the sport that has since been unrivalled by any other sport.
My Journey as a Player
In 2016, I took part in my first competition which was held in Cheltenham and from there I have been competed all across the country from Cheltenham to Sheffield and many places in between!
The competitions that I have been to have ranged from local level competitions that are run by local charities and support groups, to National competitions run by Boccia England which so far has culminated with me reaching 2nd within my classification in the whole country. I was priveleged enough to to train within the Boccia England Talent Pathway from 2017 to 2019.
In 2019, I received the unfortunate news that my classification (BC5) was not going to be made eligible for the Paralympics which was a little crushing as I had poured almost 9 years into training for that moment. I was not to be stopped though as I swiftly switched to coaching, thinking that if I can’t get there, I’d better get someone else to that level!
I still manage to maintain a high level of playing though, and so far my greatest highlight has been becoming the National Champion for my classification in 2023!
